Today I want to talk about where gardening meets fashion. Usually, the two are mutually exclusive, but what a gardener wears is extremely important. One of the most essential items in the green thumb gals wardrobe are her boots. Over the years I have collected several pairs of boots. I chose each pair based on cut, color, and comfort–The Anatomy of the Perfect Boot.
This first pair of boots have traveled all over the world with me. I bought them when I was in college from the Tractor Supply store. I needed a pair of boots and these seemed like the perfect pair. The brown leather is such a universal color and oh so comfortable!
I love how they dip down in the front. Such a feminine shape!
This is actually my third pair of red Hunter boots. I love them so much that I wore out my first two pairs and have the holes to prove it!
(Tip: If you are going to be on your feet all day, add Dr. Scholl’s inserts for long-lasting comfort. They work wonders and save your back!)
Ladies, if you want your legs to look long and lean these are the boots for you! The side slants are super flattering!
(Tip: The taller the boots, the taller the socks!)
During the summer, these are my go-to boots. They are extremely comfortable and easy to wear.
The straps on the side make it easy to adjust. This is especially helpful if you want to wear socks with these as well.
These boots are another great addition! The bright green color is so vibrant, which is great for when you want to change things up.
The best part about having a collection of boots is that you can change your footwear from season to season. Tall boots are great for the winter months, and short boots keep you nice and cool during the summer.
Check out my secret weapon…
It makes removing your boots a cinch! Cool, right? If you are in and out of the garden as much as me, this is a must-have! I purchased it at Manufactum, my favorite store in Germany.
Secret weapon #2 and the most important…the boot dryer. Keeps your boots nice and FRESH!
What do your boots do for you?
