For today’s garden recipe it is all about the lines. What exactly does that mean? When a floral arrangement is balanced, it has good lines. Basically, the “lines” help define the shape of an arrangement.
1. Japanese Bird Nest Fern (Tall)
2. Begonia (Thick)
3. Ivy (Trailing)
Don’t be afraid to combine extremely tall plants with smaller plants like begonia. Your garden is just that–yours! So don’t worry about breaking any rules. There are no rules, just endless possibilities to explore.
Can we talk about the radiant color of this begonia for a second? Wow! She looks incredibly lush.
I also can’t get over how well the ivy pulls everything together. It really creates a unified look.
The height of the Japanese Birds Nest paired with this short, oval container creates really good lines.
Side Note: My amazingly talented friend, Andrea of Couture House Interiors, built this beautiful bar cart/plant stand. Oh, if you only knew the story behind that, but I’ll save it for another day.
Meet you back here tomorrow for day 10 of our countdown to spring. Only 3 weeks left!
Fingers crossed for warmer weather soon!
