Today, we are livin’ on a prayer!
What could that possibly have to do with a container garden for spring? Well, one of the plants I am using today is called a prayer plant.
1. Prayer Plant (Tall)
2. Maiden Hair Fern (Thick)
3. Autumn Fern (Trailing)
This gorgeous plant gets its name because at night the leaves close slightly like two hands in prayer. In the morning, however, they burst wide open to greet the sun.
1. This plant loves the sun!
2. She also loves humidity. Simply spray with a water bottle several times a week.
3. Keep the soil moist! In addition to misting your plants, you also have to give the root ball plenty to drink as well.
Fun Fact: This past Christmas I got to meet Desmond Child at a Christmas party hosted by my fabulous friend Nancy who lives in Nashville. You may not know this, but Desmond Child is the one who wrote “Livin’ On A Prayer” for Bon Jovi.
(Another) Fun Fact: This was the first cassette tape I ever bought.
Speaking of prayers, I am sending all my love to everyone enduring miserable weather right now. Spring is on its way! Hang in there!
