Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I could not be more excited! Such a special time of year that highlights our loved-ones and reminds us all to be thankful for what we do have instead of worried about what we don’t. I absolutely love this holiday and I am looking forward to spending it with those I love.

Thanksgiving, for most of us, means only one thing–food! Lots and lots of food. Turkey, cranberry sauce, sweet potato casserole–the list goes on and on. But why not surprise your loved ones with an extra special treat at the end of the night? Give your out of town visitors a snack for the ride home. You can use brown paper bags, miniature glass jars, or whatever else you want. Make your own snacks or buy your favorites from the store. This is a simple way to say ‘thanks’ as your guests are walking out the door.

Happy Holidays!

Meet Kaylee McCullough, everyone! She is a 26 year old fashion blogger in the Middle Georgia area. While Macon is not exactly one of the fashion capitals of the world, this stylish Georgia peach is sure to put this southern city on the map. You might remember Kaylee and her husband Bobby from the Take A Chance on Romance video series from earlier this year. I have enjoyed getting to know this beautiful couple over the past few years and wanted to give you all a chance to do the same. Kaylee answered some questions about her fashion blog below but you can get to know the McCullough family even better by visiting her blog: Kaylee Daily.

kdd1. What motivated you to take your personal style and turn it into a fashion blog for all to see?

I have always been a huge fan of Kendi Everyday. I really enjoyed seeing her share new outfits throughout the week and thought to myself ‘I could do this’ and then ‘I should do this.’ My friends and family were super supportive and before I knew it Kaylee Daily had become a very fun and extremely colorful part of my life.

I think that my love for sequins, bright colors, and ban.do really sets me and my blog a part. It has always been important to me that my style reflects who I am. I never want to conform to the styles of others or blindly follow trends. Kaylee Daily is not like any other fashion blog out there right now because it is 100% me.

That’s easy. Jen Gotch, the founder and creative director of ban.do, is everything I could ever hope to be. Seriously, I want to be her when I grow up. I haven’t loved something as much as ban.do since I got my first My Little Pony as a young girl.

cover4. What is your fashion motto?

“Forget the rules. If you like it, wear it.”

At least one pom-pom from ban.do (duh!) + prints, prints, and more prints + lots of color!

I absolutely love cold weather! I have so much fun in the fall and winter finding new ways to create layers that are as cute as they are warm. Hats and scarves are also a plus!

kd67. How would you give this gardener a look that is garden chic?

Floral prints + rain boots + a ban.do twist scarf to dazzle up your do!

kd38. What advice would you give to someone looking to start a fashion blog of their own?

Have fun! I have wasted too much time worried about whether or not everyone would like what I do. I have learned that to be yourself and to love what you do are the two most important things.

November is the month for giving thanks and during this month of gratitude it is important to remember that actions do, in fact, speak louder than words. That is why I love this little reminder from our former president, John F. Kennedy: “As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.” I am also reminded of the quote by Pierre Reverdy: “There is no love; there are only proofs of love.” In order to express our gratitude and our love we must show it, not simply say it. We must also remember to be grateful throughout the entirety of each year and not just in the month of November.

Happy (Almost) Thanksgiving!
